In 2015, I lived in Ireland and travelled throughout Europe for a year. The diverse cultures and rich histories I encountered profoundly changed my perspective on jewellery, leading me to pursue studies in metalwork.

Upon returning home, I translated my memories into jewellery, capturing this profound time of life.

Unknown irregular maps were cut out, as countries of my imagination, and embellished with transfer printing. These maps represented my state before the journey—unchartered territory in my mind.

A centrepiece is one where I soldered an axis of rotation between layers of Ireland maps, they rotate. Each rotation symbolises the beginning of a new journey, with Ireland always being my final destination and the centre of my world.

As the last piece of this collection, I composed a travelling wish list and hammered their country codes with texture onto the bangle.

Similar to my travels, jewellery making is a kind of adventure to me, I combine unorthodox material with metal, create jewellery from my memories and experiences like a diary.

This was the best episode of my life.
